Description: Kirin Ginseng is a member of the Araliaceae family, and a close relative of White American Ginseng (Panax Quinquefolia). It is a Chinese perennial herb, distinguished by its dark green leaves, smooth round stem bearing three to five thin leaves, cluster bright of red berries, and large translucent pale yellow-brown colored, fleshy root with some small rootlets existing upon the lower portion. According to traditional Chinese medicine, White American Ginseng is considered a cooling herb Ginseng used to treat hot symptoms such as stress, insomnia, palpitations, and headache, whereas Asian Panax Ginseng is considered hot and is used to treat cold diseases. Kirin Ginseng is considered to be the most 'stimulating' member of the Ginseng family.

Culinary Uses: Ginseng Roots are cooked into soups and grains. Ginseng is also added to candies, soda and liqueurs. Ginseng tea is considered to quickly lose potency when stored.

Medicinal Uses: Ginseng is considered nutritionally beneficial for the immune system and long term energy. The dried root is used for healing purposes. It has been used along with other herbs in treating a variety of illnesses, including digestive troubles, and memory issues. It's considered to nourish the circulatory system and enhance mental alertness and stamina.

Precautions and Adverse Reactions: Do not use this if you are pregnant. Ginseng Root should not be used by persons with hypertension.
