Description: Arabic Gum powder is made from the hardened sap tears from the trunk and branches of Acacia Senegal tree, a member of the Leguminosae (Fabaceae) family. Gum arabic is a complex mixture of saccharides and glycoproteins. It is used as a food additive in baking and cooking. It is also used in crafts and cosmetics.

Culinary Uses: Gum Arabic Powder is widely used in the food industry as an emulsifier and thickening agent. It is used in confections to inhibit sugar crystallization, as a thickener, stabilizer and flavor emulsifier.
Precautions and Adverse Reactions: Ingestion of Arabic Gum powder may raise serum cholesterol. Some forms of acacia gum can cause allergic reactions, including respiratory problems and skin lesions.
