Description:
Agar Agar is the powdered refined mucilage from several seaweeds and red algae from the Rhodophyceae family. It is colorless, tasteless and can absorb up to 200 times its volume of water to form a gel. Agar is commonly referred to as Chinese gelatin.

Culinary Uses:
When dissolved in boiling water and cooled, Agar-Agar powder contains becomes gelatinous. It can be used as a vegetarian gelatin substitute for thickening soups, sauces, jellies and ice cream.
Precautions and Adverse Reactions:
When taken as a bulk laxative, agar should not be used in persons with bowel obstruction or with abnormal esophageal or intestinal narrowing. CHOKING: Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell & block your throat or esophagus & may cause choking. Do not take this product if you have difficulty in swallowing. If you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product, seek immediate medical attention. DIRECTIONS: Take this product with at least 8 oz (a full glass) of water or other fluid. Taking this product without enough liquid may cause choking.
