Description: Dong Quai is a Chinese Herb known as Dang Gui, may bebiennial or perennial, and is a a member of the Umbelliferae (Apiaceae) family. This Eastern medicinal herb has a round, hollow stem with large leaves that are arranged in opposite rows along the leaf stalk. It has honey scented, greenish-white flowers that grow in large compound clusters. Dong Quai has a bitter-sweet root, described as resembling carved ivory, and considered therapeutically similar to Angelica.

Medicinal Uses: Dong Quai is considered to calm the central nervous system and balance and strengthen the female organs and regulate their functions. It's been considered a powerful herb for the female reproductive system.
