Description: Passionflower is a creeping perennial vine, belonging to the Passifloraceae family. It has a hairy climbing vine, leaves having three to five lobes with finely serrated edges, and solitary sweet scented white flowers with a purple crown in the center.

Culinary Uses: To make a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1 teaspoon of Passionflower Leaf, cover and steep 3-5 minutes.
Medicinal Uses: Passionflower is used to help the body reduce anxiety, hysteria and nervousness by nourishing the nervous system. It's used to help with pain, insomnia, asthma and nervousness, menopause, and headaches. Its sedative effects may increase drowsiness when combined with other substances.
Precautions and Adverse Reactions: Large doses may cause nausea and vomiting. Avoid large doses during pregnancy.
