Yohimbe, also known as Johimbe, is a tall evergreen jungle tree, belonging to the Rubiaceae family. It is a large tree with gray brown bark that has horizontal and vertical fissures, and is often spotted. The inner fracture is reddish brown and grooved. Its leaves are oblong and oval in shape, and flowers are of yellow blooms. Yohimbe is best known for its content of the Alkaloid, Yohimbine.
